Manski for Wisconsin
August 19, 2010

Nationally syndicated radio host and author lends his support to keep the westside assembly seat progressive.

MADISON – Assembly candidate Ben Manski announced this morning that Thom Hartmann is backing his campaign. Hartmann's nationally-syndicated radio show, The Thom Hartmann Program, airs in the United States and has 2.5 million unique listeners a week. In 2008 and 2009, Talkers Magazine named Hartmann the tenth most important talk show host in America. Hartmann is the latest, and most famous, in a series of prominent people to endorse Manski’s run for the 77th District of the Wisconsin State Assembly.

“Of all the people in the entire United States, Ben Manski has to be one of the very best suited to serving in public office.” says Hartmann.

The Manski campaign said that it is fitting that Hartmann -- a famous advocate for ending corporate personhood, stopping global warming, and protecting voting rights -- would enthusiastically support Ben Manski for the 77th Assembly District race.

Said Manski of the endorsement, "The rest of the state and the rest of the country look to Madison's west side for serious, progressive leadership, and I am excited to have Thom Hartmann's praise and recognition."

Ben Manski is a public interest attorney and pro-democracy advocate. He is a frequent guest on WPR’s “Week in Review.” Manski is the executive director of the Liberty Tree Foundation, as well as principal attorney at Manski Law, LLC, co-owner of the green business network PosiPair.com, a member of the Sociology faculty at MATC (AFT 6100), and an associate fellow with the Institute for Policy Studies in Washington, D.C..
